The ATV tour to Maras, Moray, and the Salt Mines offers an exciting combination of adventure, nature, and culture in the heart of the Sacred Valley. You will ride your own ATV through scenic Andean landscapes, passing by mountains, valleys, and traditional villages, while visiting three of the most iconic attractions in the region: the circular terraces of Moray, the salt mines of Maras, and charming local communities.
It’s the perfect experience for adrenaline lovers who also want to discover the history and traditions of the Peruvian Andes in a fun and unique way.
🗓️ Itinerary – ATV Maras, Moray & Salt Mines (Half Day)
The adventure begins with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco at 7:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m., depending on the chosen schedule. We travel by tourist transport to the base located in the community of Cruzpata, where you will receive safety instructions and a short driving practice before starting the ride.
Once ready, we start the ATV route towards Moray, an impressive archaeological complex formed by circular terraces that served as an Inca agricultural laboratory. After the visit, we continue towards the Maras Salt Mines, a set of over 3,000 salt pools still used by local families for salt extraction.
Along the way, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Andes, the Vilcanota River, and snow-capped mountains like Chicón and Veronica. Finally, we return to the base in Cruzpata and then transfer back to Cusco, arriving at approximately 1:00 p.m. (morning shift) or 6:30 p.m. (afternoon shift).
