Discover one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the Sacred Valley on this exciting cycling tour through Maras and Moray. 📅 Itinerary
Your adventure begins with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco or the Sacred Valley around 8:00 a.m. We’ll travel in a tourist vehicle to Cruzpata, the starting point of the cycling route, located at over 3,600 meters (11,800 ft) above sea level. After a safety briefing and basic riding instructions, we set off on two wheels.
We’ll first head to Moray, an ancient Inca agricultural research site with impressive circular terraces. After a guided tour and time for photos, we’ll continue along rural trails with stunning valley views until reaching Maras, a traditional Andean village with charming colonial architecture.
Finally, we descend to the famous Maras Salt Mines, thousands of pre-Inca salt pools still in use today. The total cycling time is approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. At the end of the tour, we return by vehicle to Cusco or the Sacred Valley, arriving around 2:00 p.m.
