Ride along ancient Inca trails, agricultural terraces, traditional communities, and mountain landscapes straight out of a postcard. This is the perfect experience to connect with nature, enjoy outdoor exercise, and explore the valley’s cultural richness at your own pace.
Ideal for adventurous travelers, this bike route combines history, sport, and unique scenery. You don’t need to be a professional cyclist—equipped with a quality bike and guided by an expert, you’ll enjoy a safe, active, and truly rewarding day.
📅 Itinerary
Your adventure begins with pick-up from your accommodation in Ollantaytambo at 8:30 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. (depending on the chosen time). We head to a nearby high point where we start the downhill ride. Before setting off, you’ll receive a technical briefing on safety, how to use the equipment, and the route ahead.
The route varies according to the group’s skill level but often includes rural roads, trails through crop fields, and sections of the Qhapaq Ñan (original Inca road). Along the way, we’ll stop at natural viewpoints, Inca canals, and local communities, always with the stunning Andean peaks in the background.
The cycling portion lasts approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, with stops for rest, photos, and the guide’s explanations. We finish the route back in Ollantaytambo and return to your accommodation around midday or sunset, depending on the schedule chosen.
