The tour begins at 6:30 a.m. with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco. Our first stop is the picturesque town of Chinchero, where you will visit its archaeological site, colonial church, and a traditional textile center to learn about the ancestral weaving process.
We continue to the fascinating agricultural terraces of Moray, an Inca laboratory where different microclimates were created for crop experimentation. Next, we visit the famous Maras Salt Mines, with over 3,000 salt pools still in use today by local families.
Around midday, we head to the town of Urubamba for a buffet lunch at a tourist restaurant (lunch not included). In the afternoon, we visit the impressive fortress of Ollantaytambo, where you will explore temples, terraces, and ceremonial enclosures that dominate the valley.
